A clear process before the first hose is connected
Reliable fleet washing begins with the depot, vehicle roster and operating window, not just the number of trucks. Road Ready assesses the work before confirming scope, timing and price.
- STEP 1
Qualify the fleet
We establish:
- Depot location.
- Company-controlled vehicle count.
- Number normally present together.
- Vehicle and trailer classes.
- Current soil condition.
- Desired frequency and completion window.
- Current washing method and main operational problem.
- STEP 2
Assess the site
The assessment covers safe access, lighting, hardstand, slope, stormwater points, existing wash facilities, water, power, contamination and the proposed washwater pathway. A private hardstand is not automatically suitable. Road Ready must understand where drains lead and whether the proposed handling method fits the site and contamination.
- STEP 3
Confirm the written scope
The quote identifies included vehicles and surfaces, soil condition, frequency, visit minimum, site assumptions, travel treatment, add-ons, exclusions, weather rule and absent-vehicle process.
- STEP 4
Trial and measure
For mixed or recurring fleets, four to six representative vehicles are washed and timed. The trial establishes a realistic standard and prevents a generic flat rate from hiding major differences between units.
- STEP 5
Run the Fleet Cycle
The customer supplies the agreed roster before the cutoff. Road Ready completes the available in-scope units during the service window and reports completed, absent and exception vehicles. Pricing and capacity can be reviewed after the first two cycles using actual operating data.

Before the visit
Before the visit, the customer may need to provide:
Washwater
Washwater is assessed by site and contamination
Road Ready does not discharge detergent-, oil- or chemical-containing washwater to stormwater. Sewer discharge is used only through a site and connection covered by the relevant provider’s written trade-waste approval and conditions. Otherwise, the job requires an appropriate containment, reuse or authorised-disposal pathway.
Weather and vehicle availability
Weather, unsafe surfaces, lightning, water restrictions or high winds can affect mobile washing. The quote or service agreement should define when Road Ready proceeds, pauses or reschedules.
The ready-by window is conditional on the agreed vehicles being present and safely accessible. The agreement should also state what happens when fewer than the minimum vehicles are available or a vehicle arrives after the roster cutoff.
